We are the West Berkshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We head West along the Ridgeway from the car park before turning North to descend the ridge and reach Westcot. From here we follow lanes, tracks and paths West to Kingston Lisle & Fawler, before turning North again to Uffington. We continue West, with good views of the White Horse, before turning South to Woolstone and then ascending White Horse Hill to regain the Ridgeway; which we follow East to return to the car park. The going is likely to be good to plain wet (unless we have a heatwave over and after Easter and evaporation breaks all records); there are 7 stiles in varying states of repair. Gaiters and walking poles highly recommended for those that use them.
Please bring sufficient food and drink for the day; the walk is limited to 20 walkers, please book using the link.
Please park near Sparsholt Firs on the Ridgeway. Please car share as much as possible as the car park is not the largest.
