Overview

The Roaches and Ramshaw Rocks - This walks starts just north of the village of Upper Hulme, then descends to the village before starting the climb to Ramshaw Rocks(RR). From RR the walk heads roughly north to Gradbach before turning south and returning to the start over The Roaches and Hen Cloud. The distance is 11-12 miles with a total ascent in the region of 2200 to 2300ft. The walk is expected to finish by 17:00. Car parking is available in the laybys on the east side of Roach Road heading north from Upper Hulme. The walk will start from the layby opposite The Roaches Tea Room. There is pay-to-park available at The Roaches Tea Room. Assistance Dogs only. Bring lunch. Please book for this walk in the Walks Programme . 2300 ft asc. Tel 07729390400. Full Day. Bring lunch. Turn off A53 Leek Rd into Upper Hulme and follow Roach Rd out of village 0.5ml to Roaches Tea Room. Park either on layby or in CP [put fee in milk churn]
