Overview

Try something different - take part in our Summer Solstice over-night walk 19 - 20 June. See the sun set and rise again in the opposite direction from a panoramic vantage point - weather permitting. The ridge walk is along familiar territory but will be a challenge to the senses in less familiar conditions. The pace will be gentle as we navigate our route partly in twilight and partly in the dark over uneven ground with steep slopes at times. Torches with spare batteries are essential. Remember how the temperature can drop overnight. Bring a hot drink and snacks. Communal Bacon Butty breakfast in car park at end of walk. Use car park on right of pass. The walk will be cancelled In the event of an adverse weather forecast - check with the leader if in doubt. Come along and enjoy the adventure. 3000 ft asc. Tel 07751932061. No dogs. Please book for this walk in the Walks Programme. Maximum bookings 30. Overnight. Bring hot drink and snacks. Booking is essential and opens from 06/06/2025.
