A walk from Chetnole heading for the Wessex Ridgeway trail, and down to Sydling St Nicholas, stopping at Sydling village green for lunch. From the village green its uphill to and across the busy A37 (care needed), and down to Maiden Newton. Some uneven paths and road walking. Could be muddy in places.
Please bring picnic lunch
You may choose to visit the Chalk and Cheese pub before returning home.

From Bristol Temple Meads: ETD 08.03, ETA 09.47. (does not stop at Freshford or Avoncliff. Chetnole is a request stop, so please tell the train manager you wish to alight there, and use the front carriage).

Most railway stations along the line do not have toilets, including Weymouth, so of needed, it is advisable to use the train toilets before alighting.
