Vale of White Horse Ramblers are a friendly group who walk mid-week and weekends in southern Oxfordshire. Highlights are the Ridgeway, the Thames Path, and the Uffington White Horse.
We'll head up Lark Hill to get a view over the Vale, hopefully, and return through Lockinge and back to Wantage along a stretch of The Vale Way. No Stiles but a couple of uphill stretches. A regular short walk from Wantage held on the third Thursday of every month. The Beacon is 200m south of the Market Place where buses arrive. There is paid car parking there. No pub stop, but we aim to be back in Wantage in time for lunch. Wantage has a variety of eating places. Wantage is reachable directly by bus from Oxford, Abingdon, Didcot, Faringdon.
