We are the Newark Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This walk takes us from Claypole in Lincolnshire back across the Shire Dyke to the Nottinghamshire villages of Fernwood and Balderton, thence up to Barnby in the Willows ( still Notts) and back to Claypole. A little urban walking but mainly fields, tracks and woodland with the possibility of hares, definitely cows and usually swans and geese: not to mention an aggressive pony A couple of tricky bridges, some stiles and some rough undergrowth.
Best not to bring dogs due to animals and terrain.
Coffee and picnic lunch stops.
