The walk passes the historic town of Llantrisant before heading to the Caerau hill fort with, hopefully excellent views. We then descend though attractive woodland to reach a parish road where we join the Penrhys pilgrimage route for a short distance to reach Mwyndy before turning northwards to return to the start.
On this Saturday Strollers walk, with a later start time than normal, we will be accompanied by members from the Glamorgan Area as we are hosting the Area’s AGM in the afternoon at the Leisure Centre.
There are two steep climbs and one steep descent with a total ascent of around 240 metres. There is one stile and a couple of muddy sections.
