We are the Leicestershire & Rutland Walking Group. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A 9.5 mile walk starting from Ambergate railway station car park in the Derbyshire village of Ambergate and taking in woodland, undulating countrysire and a clime to the Crich Stand war memorial (view point) prior to passing the Crich Tramway Museum and walking through Crich village.
There are no toilets are the railway station. Our main lunch stop is likely to be close to the war memorial where there is a toilet and small café. A packed lunch is strongly recommended. As this will be quite a late lunch stop we may have a brief stop for a snack earlier in the walk.
