We are the Rochdale Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a leisurely walk from Summerseat through Nangreaves to Grants Tower and back. It is a fairly gradual incline to Grants Tower and then downhill all the way back. We will pass Falshaw's Ice Cream Parlour and Farm Shop and stop on the way back in case anyone wishes to have ice cream or, more probably, hot chocolate given the date!
Meet at the entrance to Summerseat Garden Centre. Parking at the garden centre is free for patrons and there is also on street parking plus parking at Summerseat Railway Station at the bottom of Rowlands Road on the right before the railway bridge (coming from A56 direction).
