Overview

The walk begins in Caberston Road, Walkerburn.

After crossing the Tweed, we head east along a minor road to Glenbenna cottages, where we turn into the forest and follow the forest road. After a short distance we turn left and head uphill – a gradual but lengthy climb. We come to a T junction where we turn left and head down to the minor road. After crossing this, we follow a woodland path until we reach the edge of the river. We will stop here for a coffee stop/substantial snack (only stop). We then head back along the river to Walkerburn.
