Overview

Streatham Common with its Nature Reserve, the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, the Crystal Palace dinosaurs, the Dulwich Park sculptures, three cemeteries and panoramic views over London are all included in the itinerary of this linear walk from Streatham Common to Nunhead. This part of London is not flat and we are rewarded with spectacular views at different parts of the walk.

Streatham Common station is on the Epsom Downs line from London Victoria usually leaving half hourly from platform 9 or 10. Trains can also be boarded at Balham for those using the Northern line.
There are public toilets available at Streatham Common station, Crystal Palace Park, Dulwich Park and other locations on the route but not at Nunhead station.
Trains from Nunhead station go to London Victoria or Farringdon stations.
Please bring a picnic lunch. The plan is to stop twice for food - at Crystal Palace Park and at Dulwich Park.

There are many stations close to the route which anyone not wishing to complete the whole walk can use but, if you are doing so, please let the walk leader know.
