Heading off from Devauden we head towards Kilgwrrwg before dropping down through fields and then up through Cefngarw Wood and over into Chepstow Park Wood and back to the start.
Coffee / snack break (some of you may wish to bring a sandwich as a snack). A packed lunch may be had at the end of the walk in the grounds of the Hall.
This walk is graded “Leisurely” (Ramblers Handbook). A reasonable level of fitness is required for the walk taking us through pastures, country lanes and forest tracks. Inclines - one short/steep and one long/gradual. A few boggy sections on some forest tracks.
Stiles - 10 (most in good condition).
From Chepstow head up to Devauden on the B4293, turning right at Devauden common, then turn right into a lane, with the Memorial Hall on your left.
