Overview

Initially across a high ridge then low lying riversides, through environmental re-structuring, past artisan cottages and HMWT marsh lands into Ware. We will step-out towards Baker's End & Timber Hall, then follow the River Rib downstream through Thundridge, past the biggest hole in Hertfordshire. Then upstream along the River Beane to Hertford for a picnic near the 'The Old Barge'. Return alongside the River Lea canal, then deviate across King's Mead and the 'New River' source, eventually re-crossing the Lea by the Burgage footbridge into Ware.
