At a moderate pace from Rickmansworth, around Betchworth Lake, along the Grand Union Canal then uphill to Croxley Green for the lunch stop. We then descend to the lovely River Chess to walk back to Rickmansworth. May be muddy in parts and a couple of ups and downs.
Lunch: Bring picnic for lunch at Croxley Green where there are 2 pubs for drinks and loos.
Train: Metropolitan Line 10:19 Farringdon; 10:30 Baker Street; 10:55 Harrow-on-the-Hill (Amersham Train); Arr Rickmansworth 11:12. Rickmansworth is in Zone 7.
