I last led this interesting South Reading walk many years ago. The walk has sections of Holy Brook and the Kennet & Avon canal. Much has changed in the last 14 years but I can promise you lots of water, a couple of locks, an island wetland nature reserve, a pumping station which opened in 1878, a zip wire (not compulsory!) and cows. And all of this on a 5 mile walk which starts at Matalan!
The walk is mainly flat, there is a section which has a lot of nettles (shorts wearers beware!)
Meet at the Matalan car park which has 4 hours free parking.
