The walk begins at The Fox Inn at Lower Ansty and heads across fields to Higher Ansty and then Little Ansty (Pleck). After passing through Rawlsbury Farm, there is a sharp, but short, climb to Rawlsbury Camp. This is the earthwork remains of an Iron Age hillfort and comprises two banks each with a ditch. Iron Age pottery has been found at the site together with Roman coins and pottery. The walk progresses around Bulbarrow Hill and and gradually descends through Delcombe Wood and on through Hilton. The final section skirts around Bingham's Melcombe before returning through Ansty to the Fox Inn.
The terrain is made up of field walking, tracks, paths and lanes which are not busy. There is one steep ascent and two smaller ones as this is not a flat area. It will be muddy in short sections but most of the walk will be dry. There are a small number of stiles at the beginning and end of the walk.
