Overview

The walk starts at the  Sherborne Terrace Playing Fields and then tracks West towards Bradford Abbas across Lenthay Common and fields of barley and maize.  At Bradford Abbas the route tracks past the Old Mill and the site of a Roman Villa, onto Thornford and thence Lillington across open countryside. The homeword section follows the Macmillan Way as it passes alongside Honeycombe Wood.

The walk comprises a mixture of road, lane, track, drove and field walking.  The terrain is benign with minor undulations and at this time of year the paths are dry in this flat region of the County.  There is a generous number of stiles but with minimal challenges.

Please bring a packed lunch.

Assistance dogs only.

Booking opens at 10.00 24/06/25 and closes 10.00 01/01/25
