Overview

A wholly hard surface walk along quiet lanes with 2 ascents (1 steep) and 1 steep descent (please note that if there is ice around, the walk will be postponed).

The route includes the pretty villages of Sandford Orcas, Pointington and Oborne which edge the Dorset/Somerset border. Sandford Orcas was originally in Somerset.

No stiles, and probably no mud!

When the walk ends in the carpark at the Grange, you are invited inside the hotel for a cuppa to celebrate the 2nd walk for 2026.  Please note that the bun is actually a home made biscuit but I have it on good authority that they are very good. Transactions are by card only and please bring shoes to change into.
