We are the Brighton and Hove Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
An undulating five mile circular walk around Castle Hill Nature Reserve with some hilly sections. Option to have a drink afterwards at the Downs Hotel.
The walk starts at Castle Hill Carpark near Woodingdean. BN2 6NT. Also Google Maps sometimes incorrectly shows the car park in Happy Valley! This is not the one. The Castle Hill car park is just to the north of Woodingdean near Bexhill Road.
The number 2 bus stops outside the Downs Hotel in Woodingdean. A short 5 minute walk from there to the start point. Catch the 18:53 from Churchill Square (stop H) which arrives at the Downs Hotel bus stop for 19:16.
Please note the later than usual start time of 7.30pm for this evening walk.
If you can, please RSVP to this walk via our Meetup site. This will give the walk leader a rough idea of how many people may be attending. If you are a paid up member of the Ramblers organisation, you can ignore any waitlist you may find yourself on.
We don't ask you to pay to join us on your first three walks. Afterwards, in order to continue walking with our group, you must become a paid-up member of the Ramblers.
