This circular walk starts at The Star Public House in West Leake and is mostly through pasture land and along farm tracks and lanes. We leave West Leake and join the Midshires way to the top of Crow Hill Wood with lovely views to the right where we may stop for drinks. We then walk alongside Rushcliffe Golf Club and come out onto Court Hill where there are once again lovely views to enjoy. We then make our way back past Crownend Wood and back along lanes to West Leake.
For those of you who are interested we pass a mound which excavations have determined is a Neolithic Barrow or burial mound.
The walk is along easy paths and tracks and lanes.
There are two stiles on the walk which could be slippery on the day.
There were some friendly cows in one of the fields.
Please park in the Star car park. The pub will be open at 9.30 for us to pre order food and use the toilet faciities.
