This was a favourite walk of Julia. I know that you will join with me in sending her husband Roger your deepest commiserations.
For those of you who can make it on Sunday we will start by crossing the tail end of the Freshwater golf course, going down to the middle road which we cross carefully. We will walk the lane to the causeway and then follow the Yar to Yarmouth where we will have a break. Our return is on the western side of the Yar, which may be muddy.
We will then use part of the Freshwater Way to return to Freshwater Bay.
As this is Remembrance Sunday we will stop at 11am for a minute’s silence.
This route may change a little on the day due to flooding. You will need to bring food and drink. You can get in touch Roger on 07740 541153.
New walkers welcome. If you are new to the Ramblers you can just turn up for any of our walks, unless we specify otherwise.  We invite you to come along for three walks as a non-member.
Additional Notes
Depending on the weather, consider suitable, clothing, footwear, walking poles, sun cream, drinks, and food. Walking poles can be particularly useful in winter in helping you to stay upright! Watch out for ticks and remove ASAP. If you are unsure about your ability to undertake this walk, please contact the walks leader. If you need to leave the walking group, please ensure you inform the leader or back marker.
Please note that there may be short sections of road walking, so please walk in a single file and take good care.
Wise to look at the website on the day just in case of any changes or additional info. And in the event of extreme weather please check back for cancellation notices.
Emergencies
It's very rare that an emergency occurs, but we may need info about
- Any health concerns that you have

- Any emergency contact information

We'd ask you to make sure that we have ready access to this, if needed.
Some people may wish to carry an ICE (in case of emergency) card. We have Ramblers cards for this.
