An initial steepish ascent up to the top of the Burford Spur to warm everyone up, thereafter gently undulating, mostly either downhill or level. We head along the Pilgrims Way to Brockham Quarry, then down into Brockham itself where we stop for a mid way coffee (refreshments and toilet available at the reading room cafe, or bring your own drinks). We then set off along the old coach road to Boxhill bridge and the riverside walk back to the car park. We pass under a rail line and cross the A25 twice. Some frisky cows in one field. No stiles. Poles advised for initial climb, and possibly slippery chalk underfoot if damp. Great views.
At the end, why not treat yourself to a hearty lunch at Ryka's
