From the car park we shall head down through Whippendell Woods into Horrocks Wood, bypassing Croxley Green to return to Whippendell Woods before picking up the canal tow path northwards and then walking through the Grove hotel grounds back to the car park. We shall be on woodland paths and the tow path. Some ascents, notably up Jaccotts Hill into the woods and a more sustained ascent from the canal to the Grove.

Participants on this walk need to have suitable footwear and equipment and be able to walk the distance and terrain so please consider this before booking. If you are unsure then please contact the walk leader before booking to ascertain whether this walk is suitable for you. Please remember to bring along your ICE (In Case of Emergency) card with details of emergency contacts, medical conditions and medications.
The leader has set a limit of 20 walkers and requires you to book. If your plans change please let the leader know in case there is a waiting list. Your details will be used solely for the purpose of the walk and will then be destroyed.
