Join us for a varied walk, with many picturesque views of Whitby Abbey. We head down from the abbey, through the streets of Whitby to Golden Grove, where we stop for a coffee break and to admire the little waterfall here. We then work our way to the coast across fields and streams, arriving at the Fog Signal Station and the lighthouse, then following the Cleveland Way back to the abbey.
The walk is a moderately hilly route and around 8 miles long. It is fairly muddy in places.
Meet in the parking area at the top of Church Lane, outside the entrance to the YHA and Abbey Museum complex.
