Overview

Today we will explore several of the Downs around Kingston Deverill. We should be rewarded with magnificent panoramic views. The walk starts by heading up onto White Sheet Down then along between Little Knoll and Long Knoll down into Maiden Bradley (where there is some minor road walking). We then climb Brimsdown Hill onto the Mid Wilts Way before descending over Whitepits Down into Kingston Deverill. The final stretch, continuing along the Mid Wilts Way, takes us back to the cars. Many tumuli, earthworks, dykes and mounds. Map: EX143/142.

Everyone is welcome. If you would like to join this walk, please notify the walk leader (Rose B 07781812992) or email swrsundaywalks@gmail.com.

If you would like to car share, please let the walk leader know when you book and we will hopefully be able to facilitate this.

There will be two stops during the day for coffee and lunch (please bring a picnic)

Assistance dogs only.
