Overview

A moderate 10 miles circular walk from Goldhanger via Tolleshunt D’Arcy to Tolleshant Major where we will break for lunch at the Bell Inn (hence the title of the walk). 6 miles in the morning and 4 miles after lunch back to Goldhanger.

Please park in either Head Street or Church Street, Goldhanger. Our meeting point is St Peter’s Churchyard at 10:00 am.

The walk will take us through the beautiful Essex countryside via well maintained footpaths and quiet country lanes. No stiles and, given the time of year, no mud either. Whilst a pub lunch is available, walkers can bring their own picnic if they prefer. Green space and benches are available nearby.
