The walk is just under seven miles. It is a circular walk through woodlands, farmland, meadows and Parham Deer Park. Some road walking on country lanes. Not too undulating. There are a number of stiles, a golf course and an A road to cross. We have have a “banana break” enroute - no lunch stop whilst out on the walk. Please note that one meadow is very boggy due to an underground stream and I would strongly suggest that you do not wear sandals.
This walk starts at RSPB Pulborough Brooks where there is an extensive carpark which is free for members or £3 all day. The visitor centre has a lovely cafe where we will be able to have refreshments afterwards. The walk goes away from the reserve rather than through it so you might wish to plan to spend some time there on your return.
