Overview

A Circular walk starting from the East Winchester (St Catherine's) Park & Ride – free parking on Sundays.

Hugging the rural outskirts of the city, we’ll head out to St Cross, Oliver’s Battery and Yew Tree Hill.  Heading through Compton and over to Compton Lock, we’ll pass through Twyford and then enjoy open countryside back to Winchester and around St Catherine’s Hill.

Please bring provisions for a coffee stop and picnic lunch.

There is bound to be mud, somewhere - bring poles if you find them useful.

If you don't regularly attend our weekend walks, it would be appreciated if you could inform the walk leader if you would like to join us, by 8pm the day before.

Please ensure you carry your Ramblers In Case of Emergency (ICE) card.
