This walk begins in the pretty Derbyshire village of Winster, surrounded by the limestone cliffs and drystone walls typical of the White Peak. From here, we follow the Limestone Way, descending into the village of Bonsall. A short climb out of the village is followed by a descent into the hamlet of Snitterton, and then along Wensley Dale.
The route continues through Cambridge and Clough Woods, before a short, steep descent through Stoop Wood and a gentle ascent back into Winster. The wooded sections, particularly Clough Wood, can be muddy after heavy rain.
This is an undulating walk through classic Derbyshire countryside, offering fine views when the weather is kind.
