Finchley & Hornsey is a friendly group, open to everyone. We walk mainly in Herts and surrounding counties.
Join us to celebrate the winter solstice with a figure-of-eight walk around the village of Sarratt. In the morning we will walk from the village green to the Chess valley, then follow the river and up through woodland back to the green. ( 5.2 miles) Between 1 and 1.30pm we will share a festive picnic on the green and in the afternoon follow an easy and relatively level walk around the village.(3 miles).
The walk is mainly along well-marked footpaths. The morning walk does contain a number of inclines and can be muddy after rain. The afternoon walk includes one short incline.
You are welcome to join us for all or any aspects of the walk: morning walk, afternoon walk or the picnic.
Please bring some festive nibbles to share at the picnic.
