Overview

Starting at the Norton Drive car park, just off Falmer Road at Woodingdean, we will walk down to Balsdean Farm and then up to Swanborough Hill and return along the South Downs Way overlooking the Ouse valley and Lewes.

Sturdy walking boots and poles are advised. Depending on the recent weather, there may be some mud at the start of our ascent out of Balsdean valley. Please note, there are no toilets or refreshment points on this route; the price to pay for no busy roads and a great view! There are bus stops for the 23 and 52 on Bexhill Roadclose to the car park meeting point.
