Overview

From Tavistock heading up the hill to West Down and into the river valley for Double Waters, the dramatic confluence of the Rivers Tavy and Walkham. Passing through the village of Buckland Monochorum and the Drake Manor Inn for a swift half. Climbing up to Robough Down and back to Tavistock beside the River Walkham.
A fairly long walk where quite a few of the Downs are ups, but we will take good breaks. River swimming should be possible. Plenty of car parking options https://www.visit-tavistock.co.uk/parking. Regular buses from Plymouth to nearby Tavistock bus station (No 1 Stagecoach)
