Overview

A picturesque walk following the river Melte, passing under Sgwd yr Eira waterfall (wet uneven rocky ledge), and visiting several lovely waterfalls up to Cwm Porth. The walk then follows trackways to the river Nedd Fechan, returning along a wooded valley on the riverside path with more waterfalls.

Some steep slippery sections, and large boulders.

Start walk from Pontneathvaughan Road Pontneddfechan. Park in long layby opposite the Angel Inn (not in the pub car park) SA11 5NR
