Overview

Woods & Fields North from Woodcote. Pretty woods as we skirt Checkendon on our way to Hailey and Ipsden. Then views across open chalkland fields on quiet lanes back to the start. The River Rapids X40 bus (www.oxfordbus.co.uk) Woodcote War Memorial Stop is 100m from the start. A bus is timetabled to depart from Reading, Station Road (stop SB) at 09:45 and reach Woodcote at 10:07. Text leader if catching the bus. Buses depart Woodcote to Reading at 15:03, 15:49 & 17:00. (Bus users should check the times).
