Overview

We set off eastward on a bit of the Jubilee Way.  A steepish climb to start with up a nice grassy bank, with views of Belvoir Castle.  We then pick up a short section of the Viking Way, dropping down to the Grantham Canal.  There’s then a nice easy stroll along the towpath as far as Harlaxton Wharf.  We then double back along field edges to circle Denton Reservoir, and then into Denton village.  A short road section takes us onto the old disused railway line running north/north westwards.  It’s then a matter of retracing our steps back up the hill and over the other side to the start point - and pub!
