Overview

Meet at 10.30 at the Elizabeth line exit at Woolwich station.  Join Dominique for a four-mile linear walk discovering St George’s Garrison church, Woolwich barracks and Woolwich Common. Walk through Maryon Wilson Park with its deer enclosure, and see The Valley, home of Charlton Athletic Football Club.  Finishing at Charlton station (trains to London Bridge and Cannon Street), with the option of several bus routes along the way for those who might like a shorter walk.  Toilets and refreshments in Charlton House, a fine Jacobean manor house which is Grade 1 listed.
