We are the York Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

A pleasant walk, mostly along field paths, woodland and tracks, taking in the lovely villages of Kirkby Overblow and Follifoot and ending at Spofforth Castle.
Starting from Spofforth Cricket Club we walk across the fields towards High Lane. We pass the Spofforth Park Christmas tree estate and then walk on through the countryside towards Kirkby Overblow, near which there are aromatic fields of clover, wildflowers and many butterflies. We make our way to Follifoot and return to Spofforth via Crimple Beck and the impressive Spofforth Pinnacles.
There are two sections of road-walking (one 400 m, the other 800 m), about 14 stiles and a few brambles and nettles.
