The walk takes us on some lesser used paths at the rear of Ystradowen. There are a number of stiles and gates , some are in better condition than others.
There is some overgrowth of nettles etc around the stiles but should be able to navigate them without too much pain.
The path takes us through farm fields to back to the centre of the village. There was a fairly large herd of cattle with calves on the first recce, but they had gone (apart from one) on the second. Hopefully it will still be clear on the night.
