Walking in and around Sheffield
We are a sociable and inclusive walking club based in Sheffield and aimed at outdoor enthusiasts in their 20s and 30s. We host everything from leisurely 4-5 mile strolls to challenging 15+ mile hikes, both around Sheffield’s magnificent green spaces and out in the wilds of the Peak District National Park.
We run walks every weekend and often during the week in the summer months, including in the evenings – we certainly make the most of living in the UK’s greenest city!
The group was formed in July 2002 and has been growing steadily ever since, attracting members from all over the surrounding area who enjoy meeting like-minded, fun-loving folk.
Our walking communitys
As well as walks, we run a varied socials programme that includes everything from rounders and climbing through to board games and pub crawls. We also love a good weekend away and regularly take the group out of Sheffield to stunning locations across the UK such as the Lake District, Snowdonia, Northumberland and the Cairngorms.
Our members come from a diverse range of backgrounds and have a wide variety of interests, but they share a sense of community and a love of the great outdoors.
