Walking in Teignmouth & Dawlish
Welcome to the Teignmouth & Dawlish Ramblers. We are a small but active Group and walk in a large part of South Devon – generally in rural areas with the glorious South West Coast Path to the south, and the wild landscape of Dartmoor to the north.
Joining our walking community
We are Devon’s smallest Group of the Ramblers, but no less active than our larger neighbours – alongside our walks [link to subpage], we run our own website [link], which has everything you would need to know about walking in our area. And we are effectively self-funded by means of our two publications [link to subpage].
In 2018 we discovered a lost path and negotiated with the landowner to reopen it culminating in an opening party that was covered by the local press. This all involved a great deal of team work that made our members become closer to the true ethos of being a Rambler.
As well as offering walks, we offer a variety of social events including skittles evenings, meals out, an Annual Dinner and theatre trips, as well as holidays both in the UK and in Europe. Indeed, we often regard ourselves as a Social Group open to all members of the Ramblers allocated to us.
You are welcome to join us for a couple of taster walks after which we ask you to join the Ramblers. Visiting members of Ramblers on holiday in the area are always welcome.
