Join Our Fortnightly Abbotskerswell Walks – Refresh Your Mind & Body!
Our Grade 2 walks take place every two weeks in and around the lovely Abbotskerswell area.
Depending on how you feel we can adapt the walk to make it easier or a little more challenging. The whole group are involved in this decision.
We set off from the Netball Court and walk to mid-point along Vicarage Road (a cul-de-sac) in the rolling countryside and return along the same route. There are 2 gentle slopes. It’s mainly roadway through the village plus gravel bridleway. Boots or stout shoes recommended. We pause to take in the scenery and chat along the way.
Distance/duration: just under one mile (1.5km), duration 30-60 minutes mins.
Further recommendations and walk information:
We start and finish in the Netball Court Carpark, Abbotskerswell, TQ12 5PD. There are toilets in the pavilion.
Please arrive approximately 10 minutes ahead of walk start times especially if you are a new walker to the group. We recommend wearing sturdy comfortable footwear.
A Walker Registration Form will need to be completed before taking part in the walks, either in advance or at your first walk. We suggest walkers carry an ICE card (In Case of Emergency) with information to include your name, your emergency contact name, & their contact number, and any of your medical conditions you wish to share. We provide you with one of these to complete.
