Overview

Join us for a wander around our stunning nature reserve. Take in the sights, get out in nature and see if you can spot a bird or two. Please note assistance dogs only.

Please meet our Walk Leader(s) at the picnic benches between the visitor car park and the Nature Centre - no pre-booking is required!

The route is a circular walk (1.9m/3km) starting and ending in front of our Nature Centre - its facilities include a cafe, shop, toilets, baby changing facilities and our Nature Garden with bird hide.

Please note that whilst the walk is non-charged there is a £3 all-day parking fee for use of the car park (this is waivered for NWT members, staff, volunteers and those with a NWT parking permit).

Please send questions to wilder@nottswt.co.uk

We recommend walking shoes or trainers for your comfort and safety - a water bottle is also a good idea! This walk is open to couples, individuals, small groups and families.

There is one small incline, with the rest of the route being flat. Some of the route is tarmacked and the rest is a dirt path. Those with a wheelchair, pram, motorised wheelchair/scooter, canes and walkers regularly use this path to enjoy our site.
