Taking place in and around the delightful resort of Dawlish we have 3 grades of walk going out each week from the same place at the same time. Our Dawlish walk group are one of the longest established groups in the Teignbridge wellbeing walks with a number of volunteer walk leaders who rotate leading the walks of various routes. Some walk are further afield - with plenty of notice for those who wish to take part . Regular friendly group walks usually with a cuppa at some point, are at the heart of Walk This Way Wellbeing Walks. Our social walks take place in Teignbridge local district areas, often taking in open spaces, parks, woodlands, and nature reserves. We have three walks to choose from depending on how you feel and your ability. Grade 1 walks are suitable for most abilities. Grade 2 are slightly longer duration and can include some uneven ground and inclines. Grade 3 walks are more demanding and longer duration of up to 90 minutes walking, on uneven ground and include inclines. Walks often last longer with pauses to take in the scenery, flora & fauna, or to simply rest for a moment. Please arrive approximately 10 minutes ahead of walk start times especially if you are a new walker to the group. We recommend wearing sturdy comfortable footwear. A new walker 'sign-up' form can be completed before taking part in the walks, either in advance or at your first walk. We suggest walkers carry an ICE card (In Case of Emergency) with information to include your name, your emergency contact name, & their contact number, and any of your medical conditions you wish to share. We provide you with one of these to complete. A register is taken before each walk begins.
