Overview

The walk will follow the Caldew Cycleway.  The walk is on a good tarmacked path which runs alongside the River Caldew.  The route is part of both National Cycle Route 7 (Inverness to Sunderland) and Route 10 (Cockermouth to North Shields).

The cycleway runs under the Victoria Viaduct/Denton Street bridge and the walks gives the opportunity to view this well used bridge from a different perspective.

On street car parking is available within a disc zone.
