Overview

Come along and join us and take part in our friendly, welcoming and sociable  wellbeing walk every 2nd Friday from Pelaw Library with our fully trained walk leader Jon.  The walk takes approx 90 minutes, that may seem a long time for those new to walking but we will be having plenty of rests along the way as you take in the spectacular views of the river Tyne.  You will walk through a treasured green space in the East of Gateshead where you feel you are in the heart of the countryside.  Here you will find rare breeds at the farm Including a baby Emu and two older Emu's which we were informed by the owner they were the last two in the country.  As you amble through the farm we will make our way back to the library where you can take the weight of your feet with a free tea or coffee.
