Overview

Get out and about with others in your community to enjoy a walk and a chat and enjoy the wonderful local surroundings. All walks last about an hour - shorter 30 minute walk options will also be available on most dates. After each walk there will be an opportunity to have a chat over a cup of tea and home-made cake in the VIC, Culgaith's community cafe, where you can find out more information about our walk programme and details of other community events. Leaving Temple Sowerby using several field paths we reach the grounds of an historic National Trust property. Walking down the impressive approach road we meet some significant trees – we often hug one of them – before making our way back to Temple Sowerby on quiet back roads. On wet weather alternative routes we encounter a major arterial road, the remnants of a significant railroad and an ancient milestone.
