Overview

Meeting at the church, we start from the village of Appleton-le-Moors and head towards Lastingham. From here we follow the footpath through the fields, skirting around the edge of Hagg Wood, and heading towards Lower Askew. We then turn towards Mill Wood (which in previous years has shown spectacular displays of wild garlic), and then on to Sinnington before following the footpath up a long, steep hill back to Appleton-le-Moors.

We will pass through fields of livestock so dogs must be on a lead. There are a couple of steep sections, but the route is mainly fairly flat.
