Leaving Great Ayton we head through Little Ayton picking up a lane that leads us up (a nice steep climb) through Ayton Bank Woods to Captain Cooks monument. We in the view's before heading down through the Kildale estate passing the water falls, to make our way over to Percy Cross Rigg.
We then pick up the Cleveland Way which we follow to the top of Roseberry Topping. After taking in the wide views we head down through Newton Woods, where hopefully the bluebells will be in full bloom to the picture frame. After a short climb it is mostly down hill back to the start.
This walk is mostly on good paths but has a few steep ascents.
