An interesting 9 mile figure of 8 walk ,taking in historic mines, 2 Tors, standing stones, a giant quarry, Lake view and stunning views over Bodmin Moor.
There is a wide stream crossing , a wide jump or on stepping stones if water running low. Maybe some slightly boggy sections. Folks can abandon ship half way at cross over point if they only want to do half the distance.
We will start at The Cheesering CP ( free charge). ascending to Caradon Hill television mast 1200 but fairly gentle climb. We then take a track to South Caradon copper mine for coffee( biggest copper mine in UK in its heyday ). descending down to cross stream to Minions CP. From here we pass the Hurlers stones to Tregarrick Tor for lunch, stunning view of Siblyback Lake. We make our way to the quarry and on to the Cheesering Tor and back along the ancient railway sleepers to CP.
