West Mendip Walkers moderate 11.9 mile circular walk, 1,875 feet of climb, from
Bossington National Trust Car Park (TA24 8HF).
The walk heads north from the car park towards Hurlstone Point where we turn
SE up Hurlstone Combe to the summit of Bossington Hill. We then walk easterly, mainly following the SW Coast Path across moorland slightly to the north of Bratton Ball.
The walk then turns south through woodland to the outskirts of Bratton where we head westerly up a small hill to Little Headon Common. From there we walk through Combeshead before traversing round to Selworthy, a timeless rural landscape of thatched cottages, nestled in the vale of the
Holnicote Estate which is owned by the National Trust. From there we continue in a westerly direction across moor and fields to Allerford and then back across fields and woods to Bossington. Dog friendly with the odd stile.
